Asbestos is popular due to its sound absorption,
average tensile strength, heat, electrical and chemical
damage, and affordability. It is used in such applications as
electrical insulation for hot plate wiring and in building
insulation. When asbestos is used for its resistance to fire
or heat, the fibres are often mixed with cement or woven into
fabric or mats.
Compressed asbestos fibre jointing sheets (metallic & non-metallic) and non-asbestos jointing sheets used for steam, oil, acid and high pressure.
Sizes:0.5 mm – 5 mm x 5 ft width x 5 ft length
Mainly used to seal joints in boilers, fuels, chimneys, pipes or between components in plant and machinery.
Sizes:3 mm to 50 mm diameter (round) and 6 mm to 50 mm square (gland)
Used as safety curtains, high temperature barriers.
Rubberised asbestos tape (metallic / non metallic): 3 mm & 6
mm thick x 1” – 3” width x continuous roll length
Webbing tape: 3 mm & 6 mm thick x 1” – 6” wide x continuous roll length
